Introducing G&G WEDDINGS

Christian Bryant, Publisher of G&G Weddings

1) What is the concept behind G&G Weddings? G&G Weddings is a celebration of heritage, style, and the enduring spirit of Southern culture. This new digital publication is designed to honor the traditions that define the Southern wedding experience while embracing the evolving narratives of today’s couples. Our aim is to create something truly generational—editorial that resonates not only with the bride, but also with the groom, family members, and the unforgettable cast of characters that make up any great Southern gathering. Whether you’re planning a wedding or simply appreciate the artistry of a well-told Southern story, there’s something here for you.

2) What inspired you to do this launch?
The idea for G&G Weddings has been quietly percolating since I joined the brand in 2013. Over the years, we’ve received numerous inquiries—from readers and partners alike—asking if G&G could curate or even plan weddings, which speaks to the level of trust and aspiration our brand inspires. We’ve always known there was an appetite for this kind of content from our audience. With the launch of G&G Weddings, we’re not only meeting that demand, but also laying the foundation for potential future ventures in the experiential and events space.

3) When is the launch date for the first issue?
The inaugural issue will debut on November 1, 2025.

4) What are the platforms?
G&G Weddings will be a digital-first magazine, accessible at gardenandgun.com as well as through leading digital newsstands including Apple News. We’re prioritizing discoverability and reader experience while maintaining the design sensibility and editorial polish our audience expects.

5) What is your background in publishing?
Before joining G&G, I held roles at Condé Nast, Meredith Corporation, and Hearst, where I worked across iconic titles such as Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, Jane, Traditional Home, and Martha Stewart Living. That experience gave me a deep understanding of how to blend editorial excellence with brand stewardship—skills that have helped shape our vision for G&G Weddings.

6) What type of features will G&G be covering?
We’ll certainly include classic wedding topics—registry ideas, fashion, jewelry—but through the G&G lens, the storytelling goes deeper. Expect thoughtful coverage on unexpected destinations, heritage-inspired design, sustainability, collecting, maybe a canine ring bearer? We will see. We’re interested in not just how people get married, but how they plan their life together—and the rich stories that surround that first celebration.

7) Describe Southern style in relation to weddings?
Southern style is rooted in storytelling, tradition, and gracious living. In the context of weddings, that means layered details, a reverence for place, and a seamless blend of formality and personality. It’s the handwritten note as much as the monogrammed linen; the garden party as much as the grand ballroom. Southern weddings aren’t just events—they’re enduring expressions of love, legacy, and hospitality.

8) Who is the audience you are targeting?
We’ve designed G&G Weddings to appeal to a broad spectrum of readers—from couples in the midst of planning, to parents and lifelong G&G fans who appreciate design, food, travel, and meaningful traditions. Whether you’re 18 or 80, if you have an eye for beauty and a heart for storytelling, there’s something for you here.

9) How will this be different from other wedding-related issues?
We’re not creating a disposable planning tool. G&G Weddings is built for the long haul—something readers can revisit for inspiration and delight, whether they’re preparing for their own wedding or reminiscing on one from years past. We hope it becomes a keepsake, a reference point, and a companion through the milestones of life.

10) How often will G&G be published?
We’re beginning with an annual digital issue, but we see this as just the starting point. Depending on the engagement from our audience and support from advertising partners, we’re open to expanding frequency and formats over time. The appetite is there, and so is the ambition.
