The Bridal Council Awards RISD Student

Committed not just to the bridal industry today, but tomorrow as well, The Bridal Council gives a gift! The recipient of this year’s Bridal Council Award was presented to the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with the intent that its financial aid will make a lasting difference in the life of every student who receives it. The generosity of the Bridal Council Award ensures that students can immerse themselves in the RISD experience without worrying about mounting student loan debt. It also gives graduating students the freedom to pursue their creative paths without constraining their career choices to well-paying, but less-fulfilling jobs.

“Because of your generosity,” state Joanne Ferchland-Parella, Senior Executive Director of Development, RISD, “our emerging artists and designers are making such stimulating works of art and designing solutions to complex problems.”

This year’s student recipient is in The Apparel Design department, awarded for their handiwork.Adds Sarah Sligo, RISD Senior Philanthropy Officer, “Thank you for the profound impact you are making on the lives of RISD students.”

The Bridal Council is pleased to support the future of the industry.
