Mark Ingram Bride Created a Custom Gown For Grace Van Arkel

Designer Mark Ingram & Bride Grace Van Arkel

Grace van Arkel, the great-niece of American Actress and Princess of Monaco Grace Kelly, wed in a custom gown by Mark Ingram Bride.

Mark had the immense honor of designing for Grace, who is named in honor of her great famed Aunt, and attended the wedding as a guest to old friend and Grace’s mother, Megan.

“She wore my Maia gown. We chose that gown because of its reference to Grace Kelly's wedding dress, which had been gifted by MGM studios where Grace was under a long-term contract, and designed by the studios head costume designer Helen Rose.” Mark shares the historical and family homage made to honor the bride’s late aunt.

“The bride's stunning grandmother, who I met and danced with, was a junior bridesmaid at Grace Kelly's royal wedding in Monaco in 1956!” Mark being a true historian and lover of archived fashion, couldn’t have been more honored to take part in such a sentimental fashion moment.

‘The Maia’ gown is a 3pc ensemble made of silk mikado empire waisted A-line ball gown skirt with side slit and couture bow, a high neck long sleeved top of sheer Italian floral embroidery, and worn over a Chantilly lace bustier.
