1) What is your background in design?

I grew up in a house where both my parents owned a fashion and textile business. From an early age I became involved in fashion, paintings, sewing and draping. I graduated with honors from Shenkar, college of art and design in Tel Aviv and at the same time started my own business.

2) When did Lee Petra Grebenau Couture House open?

In 2010 I established LPG couture house which attracted exclusive clientele by word of mouth.

3) How would you describe the aesthetic vision?

The brand's aesthetic draws its inspiration from female empowerment. The meticulousness of uncompromising use of finest materials and craftmanship gives a timeless touch, yet coveted and fresh.

4) What is the house known for?

LPG is mostly known for its signature couture craftmanship, exquisite embroideries and it’s made to measure innovated technique which involves sculpturing mannequins that simulate the body and measurements of each client and creating one of a kind dresses in a way that fits perfectly.

5) What kind of materials and embellishments do you like to work with?

I like to work with silk. Whether it’s chiffon, organza, satin or tulle. I love mixing textures of pearls, beads, crystals, floral embroidery and unique French lace. This is my reinterpretation of classics in modern bridal design.

 

6) Tell me about the boutique on MacDougal St in NYC, what makes shopping there so special?

Firstly, I love the area! It is one of my favorites in NYC. I think that we have managed to create a luxury experience combined with a very warm and personal approach. Also, we allow customizations and create bespoke wedding gowns there and the brides love it!

7) The images for the campaign are so beautiful, describe the branding message?

The world of LPG is all about creating fantasies and making dreams come true. Every season we create a new story that the collection is inspired from. Last season we did our photoshoot at the Dead- Sea which we found perfect for creating a “field of pearls”.



8) What are the price points of the gowns?

The price point of our made to measure wedding gowns is between 6,500 USD to 15,000 USD

9) Do you design evening as well and is that available in the US?

Yes, I also design evening wear at my atelier near Tel Aviv which is also available at the New York store upon request.



10) For the 10th anniversary in business are you celebrating in any way for the house?

We celebrated our 10th anniversary with a special runway show in October 2019 where we reveled our f/w 2020 collection and exhibited a retrospect of signature styles from previous collections.
